Editorial Policy
How FlameAgri Insights intends to make agricultural information practical, clear and accountable.
Policy draft for review before public launch. These are the proposed standards for the publication; apply them consistently before presenting articles as published.
Purpose and audience
FlameAgri Insights is a proposed farmer knowledge publication for African agribusiness professionals, farmers, researchers and innovators. Articles should help readers understand a practical question and the context in which information may be useful.
Evidence and local context
Writers should link to relevant public guidance, research or original sources. Explain where evidence applies, its date and any limits. Prices, regulations, seasonal notices and technical recommendations should be checked against current, relevant sources before publication.
Farmer stories, images and examples
Real interviews and named stories require confirmation from the people involved and accurate description of what they said or experienced. Hypothetical examples must be clearly labelled. Images should be relevant, accurately described, rights-cleared and never presented as documenting a person or farm they do not depict.
Commercial relationships
Paid placements, sponsorships, affiliate relationships and supplied products should be disclosed clearly. Commercial partners do not control editorial conclusions or undisclosed recommendations.
Corrections and updates
Readers should be able to report a possible error through the listed contact channel. Material corrections should be made transparently, and time-sensitive guidance should be reviewed when the source or circumstances change.
Publication status
Articles marked “Editorial draft” are under review and should not be treated as published advice. Publication requires editorial review of claims, sources, images, local context and any relevant expert input.
